"Up against the baseline oxyacetylene torch, the oxygasoline torch cut thick metal faster and cleaner with less slag generated and no occurrences of the metal material re-fusing after the pass."

Why Petrogen is Right for Industry

"Industry" covers a lot of ground.  It's building dams and highways, nuclear power plants, bridges, demolition, operating fabrication shops and a thousand other activities that keep our country growing and prosperous.  There is equipment to maintain, steel to scrap out, beams to cut to length, pins to wash out, rebar and cables to cut.  Most of this with cutting torches.  The common fuels are acetylene and propane, but a new and better fuel has been added to the mix:  gasoline, as it is used in the Petrogen Cutting System.

Why gasoline?  Because it is safer, less expensive, performs better and is available everywhere and any time.  Safety is a big issue, and Petrogen is proud of its safety record and safety credentials.

Though safety is number one with us, we know that a great torch has to be great at cutting steel.  And that is where Petrogen really moves away from the pack!  When it comes to mind-boggling performance, Petrogen delivers, on common steel-cutting jobs like shearing off a bolt to multi-layered, thick and even rusted steel.  Petrogen cuts up to 14-inches of steel but also makes smooth cuts through thin steel as well.  We welcome challenges to see how Petrogen can cut through your steel-cutting problems.  Cutting steel more efficiently and quickly saves money.

Petrogen's clear immediate advantage is saving money with the first fill-up of our 2.5-gallon fuel tank with gasoline right out of the pump.  That's equivalent to 250-cubic feel of acetylene.  About $8.00 worth of gasoline cuts as much steel as $125.00 worth of acetylene, with no increase in oxygen consumption!  That's a 94% savings in fuel when you first start using Petrogen and with every tank you fill forever.  Most companies keep a watchful eye on expenses, and this fuel savings is money in the bank.

Another advantage is fuel availability.  Supply problems can stop a job cold.  Gasoline is available any time of day or night, no downtime waiting for a delivery truck.  No supply problems working weekends or holidays.  How costly is it to be out of fuel when working on an excavator repair with several men and a service vehicle, plus the lost production?  Also there are never any delivery or demurrage charges.

Petrogen is built for life.  It's an investment in a durable, reliable tool that will keep on delivering superior performance, safety and cost savings for many years to come.

Below are nasty steel-cutting jobs that you will probably never have to tackle.  But if you do run into them, you will have the tool to get the job done.  We make these cuts from a cold start, never having to pre-heat the steel.
