| "The oxy-gasoline torch reduces costs by its more effective operation. The cost of operating supplies is lower. The system is safer because of the impossibility of backflash and because of the visual identification of leaks. The system can expedite building dismantling effort at other D.O.E. and commercial sites." | | - Federal Energy Technology Center (FETC) 3/98 |

The Heavy Rescue Outfit (6050) is designed for extensive steel cutting in a heavy rescue situation.
The components of this system were assembled with the input of fire fighters and Urban Search and Rescue Team (USAR) members. We furnish all items except the oxygen cylinders.

Over 700 fire departments and USAR teams are using the Petrogen System. Here's what they like about it:
- safety (torch can't backflash, no undetected leaks, fuel stability)
- keeps cutting through dirt, rust, mud
- fuel is always available
- sparks are much cooler and less hazardous
- low cost fuel for extensive training time compared to acetylene cost
Here is what's included in part 6050:
- 27 inch 90 degree torch
- 2 cutting tips, sizes 81 and 83
- Petrogen fuel tank
- 50 foot gasoline hose
- 50 foot oxygen hose
- Standard parts kit
- Standard tool kit
- Oxygen backflash arrester
- Spark striker
- Training video and other training materials
For contents of the Parts Kit and Tool Kit, see Standard Package information. Also, see this page for additional tips and their cutting ranges.
The 27-inch torch provides a longer reach than our standard 20-inch torch. Tips 81 and 83 are excellent for quick ignition on the steel and fast cutting, even in bad weather conditions. Longer hoses allow a good range of maneuverability.
You can add, subtract or substitute any items in this unit. Contact us for a complete parts and price list.
Additionally, we recommend the following option package: Part 6051

This equipment makes the unit much more flexible and expands it capabilities. These items are available individually or as a group at a group price.
